Hi, I’m Mary.
Does anxiety or OCD have you or someone you love feeling stuck? You’re in the right place.
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist offering online therapy via video visits throughout California and Florida, specializing in OCD, Anxiety, and ADHD. I work with teens, adults, parents and families who are experiencing:
Worry thoughts and time-consuming rituals
Social anxiety, Perfectionism, Phobias
Emotional dysregulation and hopelessness
Executive Functioning Skills for ADHD
Using proven, evidence-based approaches, I help people move from stuck to unstuck — and build a life that isn’t run by fear.
What To Expect
Clients describe my style as warm, validating, and gently challenging. I aim to empower individuals and families by increasing insight, building skills, and fostering meaningful, lasting change. Whether working with a child, a teen, an adult, or a couple, I focus on building trust, honoring each person’s voice, and nurturing emotional resilience and stronger connections.
For youth with anxiety or OCD, parent involvement is essential. It’s common for parents to want to protect their child from discomfort, which can unknowingly make anxiety or OCD worse. Together we’ll build an individualized plan to loosen its grip on your family, and I’ll teach you how to support your child by combining both acceptance and confidence.
I also provide individual therapy to adults with anxiety and OCD. We’ll explore how intrusive thoughts get stuck, leaving you ruminating for hours. Together we’ll design small behavioral experiments to build tolerance for uncertainty and discomfort, set goals based on your values, and get back to living the life you want.
My Approach
Who I Work With
In my practice, I work with individuals across the lifespan—children, adolescents, adults, parents, and couples—struggling with a range of challenges including anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, ADHD, and relationship concerns. Whether I’m working with a teen navigating emotional regulation or a parent seeking guidance with an adult child living at home, I tailor my approach to align with each client’s needs and goals.
Evidence-Based, Collaborative Care
I draw from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Prolonged Exposure Therapy for PTSD. I also work with executive functioning and behavioral strategies to support autonomy and long-term change.
Some of the specialized approaches I offer include:
• ADHD: I use CBT, Motivational-Interviewing, mindfulness, behavioral techniques and family therapy to improve executive functioning and self-regulation. I also offer STAND (Supporting Teens’ Autonomy Daily), a structured parent-teen model that promotes collaboration through contracts, problem-solving, and motivation-enhancing strategies.
• OCD & Anxiety: I offer Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), behavioral therapy, and a parent-based treatment using the SPACE model (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions), including SPACE-Failure to Launch for parents of adult children who are struggling with launching into independence.
• Depression: I incorporate CBT, DBT, and MI with a strong focus on safety and risk assessment.
• Trauma: I utilize Prolonged Exposure Therapy for PTSD to help clients confront and overcome trauma-related fears so they can re-engage with meaningful aspects of life.
About Me
With over a decade of experience in non-profit mental health services, I’ve had the privilege of working with at-risk youth and families through crisis situations and long-term challenges. That work has profoundly shaped who I am as a therapist — someone who believes that struggles are shaped by the world around us and that systemic factors and social justice are just as important as individual healing. I bring that same awareness and compassion into every session.
I’m also a parent, and that changes everything. It gives me a front-row seat to how demanding, messy, and beautiful family life can be. When I work with parents and families, I bring that lived experience with me — because I know firsthand that even small shifts in how we show up and respond to each other can lead to big changes in family dynamics.
Outside of the therapy room, I recharge by spending time with my family, traveling, hosting gatherings, and caring for our many pets (cats, chickens, rabbits, and a turtle). I also love reading, exploring thrift stores, and connecting with friends — all part of taking care of myself so I can help others.
